Fort Smith

11/23/15
Visited Fort Smith Historical Site.

The history here is very interesting.
Tales of the old west are part of the history here.

The old courthouse
The "hanging judge" presided here in late 1800's. Known by this title because of all the outlaws he had hanged.

Trail of tears memorial is here also. Indians would pass by Fort Smith as they would make their way to Oklahoma.

October 2015

Arrived here in Clarksville, Arkansas on October 14th

During the rest of the month I did a lot of traveling. Mostly with Pastor Pennington as we visited other Baptist churches for various conferences.
I have done some sight seeing also to get a feel for the area

I have done some job searching in the area and also door knocking with Pastor on many occasions.

Over the last month
(mid October - to now 11/25) We have seen two people saved and three baptisms since I have been here.

Clarksville Baptist Church

These are a few photos of Clarksville Baptist Church

Looking South from the front step

This is where we meet inside

There are many rooms also
I am actually staying in the building for now.  I have my own room with a bed and room for my stuff.
There is a kitchen, showers and bathrooms here.

It used to be a funeral home. Was a place for the dead but now a place for the Living!

I am thankful for the opportunity to learn and work here to help
Pastor Pennington.

Work in progress

Welcome to my first try at a blog. This is more of an experiment than anything else. I plan to try to keep this updated weekly but I don't know yet.

I have some pages I'm trying to set up along with posts but those may take more time. Please bear with me as I learn how to set things up.

This blog is so those who know me will be able to keep updated without using Facebook.

To those who do not know, I have moved to Clarksville, Arkansas from Sumner, ME to help Pastor Ken Pennington as he started Clarksville Baptist Church last year (2014).

My goal is to learn all I can about church planting. I am here until God says otherwise.

The reason I am so interested in church planting is because I know that the distant future for me is Australia.
