The End of One Chapter, The Start of Another

With mixed emotions I write this post.
As God called me down here to Clarksville, so He is calling me back to Maine.

I am sad to leave the people I have met down here but excited to start a new adventure at Faith Baptist Church in Peru, Maine.

God called me down here to learn about Church Planting and now He is calling me back to Maine to help another Pastor & Church who is basically starting over. The church has been there since the 90's but this Fall it essentially folded.  Now a new Pastor (Filer) has taken over and is basically starting from scratch with a building there.
Please pray for Clarksville Baptist & Faith Baptist. The church is the people and both churches are on a new adventure.

Both need building needs...people (salvation & spiritual growth) and property!

Concerning the physical
Clarksville - a brand new church building
Literally from the ground up.

Faith - Repairs to the building itself.

This is the end of Clarksvilleandme blog but I will share a link in the future if I start another one. Which if I do, will be towards my future in Australia.

I know God has called me to Australia  in the future but at the moment I do not know when. Thank you to those have taken time to look over this blog.

Mountain Traveling

Took a trip up through the mountains of the Ozarks on Tuesday Jan. 12, 2016

Enjoyed the views and a waterfall.

The campground was closed but there was a trail by the road so I assume this was the main falls but not sure.

It looked similar to a wallpaper photo I had found.

Haw Creek Falls

Overlook I stopped at along the way

New Meeting Place

Clarksville Baptist Church had their "charter" service on Jan 10, 2016.

Wednesday Jan 13, 2016 was the last meeting we had at
1157 South Rogers Ave.

Pastor Pennington, Brother James Gould, and I spent Friday & Saturday preparing Brother Gould's shop for our new Auditorium. This will be the future meeting place until the new church building can be built on the acre of land being bought from the Goulds.

The new place ready to go.

Sunday morning service

We also took a moment to walk out to the property being bought and sing Amazing Grace and then group together as Pastor Pennington prayed over the future of Clarksville Baptist Church

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

On Dec 18th, I flew back to Maine to spend the "Holiday Season" with my family and friends in Maine.

Flying into Portland.

My family were the only ones who knew I was coming to Maine, so I was able to surprise many church family at West Sumner Baptist Church.

We had a family night on the 18th at the church and I was glad I could be "home" for that.

I was very busy for the two weeks there.

Sunday night (20) I got to share a quick slide show of Clarksville and the work there and then preach.

Mon-Wed. (21-23) Shopping, shopping, shopping!!

Thankfully I was able to get something for each of my family. I am not a shopper and with a shortened time frame to shop made it interesting. Especially when the family car is all I had for transportation. I did miss my car.
Well my brother has a car also but I don't drive a standard.  (Well only if necessary and not very good at it)

Christmas Eve was at my Uncle & Aunt Smith's house with many of my family on my Mom's side being there.

Christmas was at home and in the evening Merle & Christine (my sister) Keough came over for an evening together with us.

On Monday 28th we drove to Ticonderoga, NY to visit my grandmother and my Uncle Bill & Aunt Karen Barnhart.

Mike (Uncle Bill's oldest son) & Sarah Barnhart with their children Josie & Leona were there also.
Merle & Christine surprised us and showed up there that evening also.

Tuesday was a fun filled day enjoyed by all. We came back Wed. and able to be back for prayer meeting that night.

New Year's Eve was a dinner, and work night at West Sumner Baptist Church.

Yet only me and my brother lasted until midnight. Everyone else went home before midnight. Well Kenneth rang the bell anyway.  The bell needs work so it wasn't very loud but it did ring 16x.

Got to preach on Sunday evening.

Monday evening I got to spend time at the Keough's. Had a grand time making snowman and cinnamon rolls out of Kinetic Sand with my niece Jenna.

Christine & Jenna

Headed back to Clarksville on Tuesday Jan. 5.

Plane was to leave Portland at 5:35 p.m.
We left at 5:45

Got to Baltimore at 7:30
Gate was at B10 had to literally run through the airport to get to gate A9 to board plane to Little Rock which was to Leave at 8:00.  I got there at 7:45 and was the last one on the plane.

One backpack and laptop bag makes for quite a workout when running through an airport!!

I'm glad God is on my side cause that's the only way I can explain how I made the connection. The plane to Little Rock had to wait for a very minor maintenance problem when I got on board.
This seemed like God was telling me I didn't have to worry about catching the plane, He would hold it for me anyway!

Even got to Little Rock ahead of schedule.

Got to preach the next night as Pastor Pennington was going to be away in Hot Springs for a few days.

Charter service for Clarksville Baptist Church is scheduled for Sunday Evening Jan. 10th.
